Triumph Motorcycles has increased the prices of certain models sold in the Indian market. This includes the Street Triple R, the Rocket 3 R and the Rocket 3 GT. The prices increase ranges between Rs 31,000 and Rs 1.05 lakh.
Starting with the Street Triple R, the motorcycle has received a price increase of Rs 31,000. The street-naked middle-weight performance motorcycle now retails at Rs 9.15 lakh, ex-showroom (India).
This makes the Triumph Street Triple R now Rs 81,000 more expensive than its arch-rival, the Kawasaki Z900 in the country. However, it is Rs 1.65 lakh cheaper than the BMW F 900R, which is also another motorcycle placed in the same segment.
Coming to the brand’s flagship motorcycles, the Rocket 3 R and the GT models. The Triumph Rocket 3 R’s price has gone up by Rs 85,000, while the GT variant receives the highest price increase of Rs 1.05 lakh. After the price hike, the Rocket 3 R and the GT retail at Rs 19.35 lakh and Rs 19.95 lakh, respectively.
However, the prices for the limited edition model of both motorcycles called the Rocket 3 R Black and the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black have remained unchanged. They retail at Rs 20.35 lakh and Rs 20.95 lakh, respectively. All prices mentioned in the article are ex-showroom (India).
Speaking about the Triumph Street Triple R, it is now the base-spec variant of the Street Triple line-up in India. The Street Triple R is powered by the Moto 2 derived 765cc, in-line three-cylinder engine.
The engine produces a maximum power of 116bhp at 12,000rpm and a peak torque of 77Nm at 9,400rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assisted clutch.
Moving to the Triumph Rocket 3 R and the GT motorcycles, both are powered by the same engine. The Rocket 3 models are powered by a 2,458cc inline-three-cylinder engine. It produces a maximum of 165bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 221Nm at 4,000rpm.
The engine comes mated a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. The final drive of the cruiser is done by the brand’s shaft-driven mechanics.

Despite the price increase, the Street Triple R still reflects a value for money proposition. The motorcycle is loaded with a host of features and is offered with a plethora of accessories from the company.
On the other hand, the Rocket 3 motorcycle is at the top-end of the pricing scale offering maximum performance and features.
