Meanwhile, Owen Riley, Head of BMW Motorrad Malaysia said: “Last year, we ended the year with over 100 new motorcycle owners within the Superbike segment in Malaysia, following a successful introduction of the BMW S 1000 RR M Package at the Malaysian leg of the MotoGP in November last year. This success has paved the way for our latest addition to the segment as it upholds the award-winning legacy of the iconic Superbike”. This motorbike is also well known as the King of the Isle of Man TT.

Having dominated the racing scene for over a decade, this iconic superbike is now fine-tuned for more power, agility and style. The newly developed four-cylinder in-line engine is lighter enabling it to achieve a new level of performance.

The new BMW S 1000 RR features a Flex Frame that enables for a much leaner fuel tank and seating area trim sections for improved support and knee grip. Every element is consistently designed to ensure optimum performance in every situation. A rear seat cover is also offered as standard with the rider’s seat. Meanwhile, the front view of the new Superbike forms a narrow and streamlined silhouette, with the familiar upside-down fork offering excellent steering precision. Combined with a low-level front section, this gives the new Superbike a light, athletic appearance.

The bike’s body is designed with short overhangs, creating a sporty silhouette. Body colour choices are Racing Red and Hockenheim Silver Metallic.

There are four riding modes i.e. Rain, Road, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro. These riding modes also control functions such as the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Pro for increased safety when braking, or in banking position. The BMW Motorrad Integral ABS system provides an even higher degree of performance, and Hill Start Control offers support when starting on steep inclines. Further, the HP Shift Assistant Pro allows for ultra-fast up and down gear shifts without the clutch. There is also an adjustable steering stabiliser as well as an electronic immobiliser.

Besides that, the BMW S 1000 RR is also equipped with Connectivity feature which allows swift pairing of the bike to your mobile phone for convenient music playback and phone calls. When used in conjunction with the BMW Connected app, which currently is exclusive to selected countries, the rider can easily access the bike’s status and statistics.
