The 2020 Honda CR-V SUV | Honda

When it comes to the best used Honda CR-V SUV years, Edmunds has rated each one. 2020 happens to be a great year, with reliability, quick acceleration, and a comfortable interior. Honda made thoughtful improvements to the cargo areas to ensure more room for whatever buyers might need. The EPA rated the 2020 version to get 30 mpg combined, 28 in the city and 34 on the highway.

Lane keeping assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW), and adaptive cruise control (ACC) are standard fares on the 2020 CR-V. It also has forward collision warning (FCW) with automatic emergency braking (AEB). The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave this version the Top Safety Pick award.

Price range: $25,202 – $40,998

2015 was one of the best used Honda CR-V SUV years

The critics at Edmunds seem to agree with buyers that 2015 was a good year for the Honda CR-V SUV. The fuel economy comes in at 29 mpg overall, with 27 in the city and 34 on the highway. Buyers who opt for the all-wheel drive version will get 28 mpg overall, with 26 in the city and 33 on the highway.

2015 was a bit early for some safety features mentioned above, but it had electronic stability control and a rearview camera. The IIHS gave the 2015 CR-V the Top Safety Pick Plus award and good scores on all its crash tests.

Price range: $11,895 – $29,998

Avoid the 2019 Honda sport utility vehicle, if possible

The good news is that while you should skip over the 2019 Honda CR-V SUV, it isn’t a terrible option in a pinch. The experts at Edmunds found it was a reliable choice, but a few quirks like a finicky touchscreen detract from the vehicle. Basically, you could get the 2018 version for less money, and there isn’t much of a difference. This year managed to get 28 mpg overall, with 20 in the city and 37 on the highway.

2017 saw the addition of some essential safety features, which means the 2019 SUV has things like FCW and LDW as optional. If you can, find one with BSW and AEB included. The IIHS gave the CR-V the Top Safety Pick award. From the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the 2019 Honda received a five-star safety rating.

Price range: $23,499 – $38,998

The Honda CR-V is known for being a reliable and reasonable option. Critics and experts agree that there are plenty of positives to report and only a few drawbacks. Overall, this Honda SUV is a good buy.
