The standard XL comes in at 58.5 cubic feet of cargo space, while the XL offers 70 cubic feet of space. While the Yukon might not be everyone’s cup of tea for large luxury SUVs, the top-level trim has a lot to offer buyers. Don’t forget, the XL has a max towing capacity of 8,000 pounds and a max payload of 1,760 pounds.

GMC included some essential safety features standard to keep all eight passengers safe. Forward collision warning (FCW) and automatic emergency braking (AEB) is included. While it didn’t get any awards, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 GMC Yukon XL a four-star overall crash rating.

Lincoln’s Navigator is another large luxury SUV with the most cargo space

Consumer Reports found that the 2022 Lincoln Navigator performed well on the road test and in the area of predicted owner satisfaction. While it is a large luxury SUV with a lot of cargo space, owners report it is also comfortable. The seat comfort received high scores, which is good news for all eight passengers. Plus, it has 56 cubic feet of cargo space, with plenty of room for everyone’s belongings. The Navigator can also tow 8,300 pounds and has a maximum payload of 1,565 pounds.

Lincoln equipped the Navigator with FCW and AEB. Lane departure warning (LDW), blind-spot warning (BSW), and rear-cross traffic warning (RCTW) are also included. The NHTSA gave the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a five-star safety rating, too.

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is the quintessential large luxury SUV with the most cargo space. It performed well on the road test and has good scores for owner satisfaction. Owners also report that the front and rear seats are comfortable. The Escalade definitely offers a luxury cabin and a luxurious experience, especially on the higher trim levels. The luggage and cargo area capacity is 56 cubic feet. Cadillac equipped the Escalade with an 8,000-pound towing capacity and a max payload of 1,580 pounds.

Only FCW and AEB are included, and the rest of the safety features are optional. Going up in the trim levels gets more technology added. The NHTSA gave the 2022 Escalade a four-star overall safety rating.
