The Ioniq 5 is affordable, practical, and loaded with great features. The GV60 has a very different value proposition as a luxury vehicle, but the EV shares several characteristics with the Ioniq 5. If the Ioniq 5 is the EV for the people, the Genesis GV60 is the EV for those who enjoy the finer things in life.
The 2023 GV60 starts at $58,890. That’s $18,940 more than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range base model. The luxury compact electric SUV costs $7,790 more than the Ioniq 5 Limited final trim level. The Ioniq 5 Limited comes standard with leatherette seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Heads-up Display with Augmented Reality functions.
The GV60 comes in two different trims: Advanced and Performance. The Performance trim costs $67,890.

It also includes a lane departure warning system, lane-keeping assist, and a Bang and Olufsen stereo system. The GV60 features a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

Should you buy the 2023 Genesis GV60?

Ultimately, the Ioniq 5 Limited AWD gets a few more miles of standard driving range and incorporates many of the same advanced driver assistance and safety tech that the GV60 Advanced trim includes. The 2023 Genesis GV60 offers great value for the money, but the Ioniq 5 Limited AWD is a bargain considering how similar it is to its fancy cousin.
