porsche expands car-subscription program into montreal

Montreal is the latest Canadian city centre to be folded into Porsche’s vehicle rental and subscription programs.

Porsche announced the expansion of its Porsche Drive monthly subscription plan into Quebec today, granting local Montreal-area drivers on-demand access to the brand’s lineup of vehicles. The program, which is already on tap in Toronto and Vancouver and tested temporarily in Kelowna, includes three ways to get behind the wheel without buying: single-vehicle rentals, single-vehicle subscriptions, and multi-vehicle subscriptions.

For those who want to flash around in a 911 or Taycan for an evening or Sunday morning, the Porsche Drive Rental program offers daily rentals ranging from $319/day for a Macan; to up to $539/day for a 911, with up to 400 km of driving and including all costs except fuel or charging. Upping the rental period to over three days reduces the cost of the 911 to $469/day.

The Single Vehicle Subscription model offers a more long-term way to test that Porsche lifestyle. Members can “subscribe” to their preferred model for $2,650 to $4,900 for a 30-day period, which includes the cost of maintenance, insurance, and a concierge service that will deliver and retrieve the vehicle within a 50-km radius of the program’s Montreal headquarters at Porsche Centre Rive-Sud.

Last and the opposite of least is the full-blown Porsche Drive Multi-Vehicle Subscription, which will “soon be available in Montreal,” according to Porsche Cars Canada, and allows for unlimited swaps between the Taycan, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan, 718, and 911 (with the exception of the GTS and Targa models, which are only available in the single-vehicle sub model). Swaps are ordered via an online portal and performed by the free concierge service — again, so long as you’re within the 50-km cutoff.

You can learn more about the program’s ins and outs, or sign up to rent or subscribe in the Montreal area here.
