Ola Electric is gearing up to commence test rides of its recently launched electric scooters across the country. According to Ola Electric, the test rides for both the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters will begin from November 10. Moreover, Ola Electric Founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced the launch of the company’s first Hypercharger.

The Chennai-based EV manufacturer had already gained a business of Rs 1,100 crore through the booking process alone. Ola Electric launched its electric scooters on August 15, and the bookings for the electric scooters were opened after a month.

Ola Electric claims that its Futurefactory is the world’s largest and most advanced two-wheeler manufacturing facility and it is run by a group of 10,000 women.

Apart from that, the Ola electric scooter portal will be re-opened on November 1. However, customers will be able to pre-book the Ola electric scooter on the Ola website by paying the pre-booking amount of Rs 499.

According to Ola Electric, the purchase portals were closed due to the high demand for the Ola electric scooters.

Apart from that, when Ola Electric opened pre-bookings for Ola electric scooters, the Indian start-up company received a tremendous response from the Indian consumers with 1 lakh+ pre-bookings in just 24 hours.

Customers who pre-booked the Ola electric scooters can book their Ola electric scooter by paying Rs 20,000 on the Ola website.

Once the booking amount for the Ola electric scooter is made, the company will give a date for making the full payment.

Ola Electric even provides financial assistance to make the full payment through Ola Financial Services (OFS), and according to Ola Electric, customers can avail “best-in-class” finance options from Ola Financial Services.

For the financial service, Ola Financial Services has tied up with India’s leading financial services like IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank and TATA Capital. Moreover, HDFC customers can opt for pre-approved loans within a few minutes from the Ola and Ola Electric app.

As per the schemes from Ola Financial Services, the lowest EMI scheme starts from Rs 2,999 for the Ola S1 and Rs 3,199 for the Ola S1 Pro variant.

The Ola S1 is powered by a 2.98kWh battery pack, the Ola S1 Pro uses a larger 3.97kWh battery pack. However, both electric scooters use similar electric motors.

Though both scooters use a near-identical electric motor, their performance is slightly different. For starters, the Ola S1 Pro is slightly faster with an official 0-40km/h time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 115km/h, whereas the same feat in Ola S1 takes 3.6 seconds to 40km/h and can manage a 90km/h top speed only.

According to Ola Electric, the Ola S1 can cover 121 kms on a single charge, whereas the Ola S1 pro can manage 181 kms on a full charge.

Features-wise, Ola S1, and Ola S1 Pro come with a wide variety of features such as keyless app-based access, digital instrument cluster, cloud connectivity, alloy wheels, disc brakes, telescopic front suspension, LED headlights and many more.

Apart from that, Ola electric scooter comes with a large 50-litre under-seat storage, which is almost twice as large as most scooters currently available in India.
