Here is a step-by-step guide to complete the booking of your Ola electric scooter.

Step 1: Log in to the Ola application and find your reservation for the scooter.

Step 2: Choose the variant and colour of the scooter. If you want to know the difference between the variants, here are all the details.

Step 3: Provide personal details, which is required to deliver the scooter. This includes name, email ID, date of birth and delivery address.

Step 4: Deciding on insurance. The company offers 1-year comprehensive and 5-year third party insurance for Rs 6,785. In addition to this, customers can choose add-ons such as accident cover, RSA and zero depreciation. However, customers have the option to buy their insurance as well.

Step 5: On-road price break-up. The company will be providing a complete break-up of the cost depending on the state where the customers reside. This includes:

  • Base price
  • Registration & road tax
  • Scooter insurance
  • Pre-booking amount
  • Helmet cost

    Step 6: Customers will be asked to complete the booking process of their Ola electric scooter for Rs 20,000. The company is accepting all forms of digital and card payments for ease of use on the payment platform.

    Step7: Booking confirmation, full payment completion and delivery details will be provided to the customer. As per the above screenshot, the customer can make the full payment on October 18 and can avail attractive finance options offered by the company.

    According to the company, deliveries of the scooter will begin from October 25 and November 25.

    Also, Ola seems to be having a batch-wise entry to complete the booking process with different timings throughout the day. This could have been done to manage the traffic on the website and application.

    Speaking about the scooter itself, the top-spec S1 electric scooter is powered by an 8.5 KW electric motor paired with a 3.92 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which is not removable. This combination provides a maximum claimed riding range of 181 kilometres.
