mercedes-benz eqs suv pricing detailed; starts under $106k

Mercedes-Benz has officially released pricing and packaging details for their upcoming all-electric SUV, the 2023 EQS, starting at $105,550.

That entry-level MSRP is for a Premium-trimmed 450+ and includes Mercedes’ $1,150 destination and delivery charge. The starting price for this seven-passenger utility maxes out at $133,350 for the 580 4MATIC SUV with the Pinnacle trim. In total, the EQS is available across three trims and three configurations.

To break it down, the EQS is available as the aforementioned 450+, the 450 4MATIC, and the 580 4MATIC. Each of those is available as either the Premium, Exclusive or Pinnacle trim. The 450 4MATIC wasn’t announced when the EQS SUV made its global debut earlier this year, and Mercedes didn’t reveal much about it still; however, the name suggests it to be an all-wheel drive version of the 450+. A premium 450 4MATIC can be had for $108,550 after destination.

For those up to speed with the recently tested EQS sedan, that nomenclature should sound familiar. The EQS SUV borrows a lot of the sedan’s impressive traits and packages them in an SUV body offering greater utility for those in need of it. The SUV will also receive some exclusive appointments, like an off-road mode on the instrument cluster displaying steering angle, suspension height, elevation, geo coordinates and more.

The 450+ and 450 4MATIC will receive a 12.8-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen as standard, whereas the 580 4MATIC will include a single 56-inch curved display spanning the entire dash. Standard on the Premium grade are heated and ventilated front seats with leather upholstery, a power tilt/sliding Panorama roof, a Burmester 3D sound system, rear-axle steering and 20-inch wheels, among other features. The Exclusive trim throws in a Head-Up Display, Rapid Heating front seats, an MBUX Interior Assistant, Four-Zone Climate Control and an Air Balance Package; the Pinnacle trim goes all-out with the aforementioned features, plus a second row middle armrest with wireless charging, Comfort Rear Headrests and an MBUX Rear Tablet.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz SUV is expected to reach US dealerships this fall, and we’ll be sure to cover it here on MotorWeek!
