Lingenfelter’s C7 Corvette Churns Out an Easy 1,000 HP

The C7 Z06 gets a big upgrade ahead of the C8 Z06’s launch.

Eliminator Spec

With all the hoopla surrounding the forthcoming 2023 Corvette Z06, it’s easy to forget that the C7 Z06 is still a pretty darn capable car, too. Longtime Corvette tuner Lingenfelter is here to remind us of that fact in this video, where it shows off its 1,000+ horsepower upgrade for the last-gen Z06, which is dubbed the Eliminator Spec.

Comprehensive List

Lingenfelter’s Eliminator Spec upgrade for GM’s supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 is quite comprehensive, as one might imagine, and includes a Magnuson Magnum TVS2650R supercharger with a new intercooler, CNC ported cylinder heads, a Lingenfelter GT31 LT4 hydraulic roller camshaft, a ported and polished 103mm throttle body, and Kooks long tube headers.

Other Upgrades

An upgraded fuel system allows the LT4 to run on E85 and make even more power, while virtually every other component gets beefed up to handle it, too. That includes a set of titanium 2.13-inch intake valves, 1.59-inch exhaust valves, cc’d chambers, Lingenfelter dual valves springs with titanium retainers, and a few other bits and pieces.

Special Build

Along with taking it apart and putting it back together, Lingenfelter also reprograms the engine module and tunes the C7 Z06 on its dyno before sending it on its way to the lucky owner. And of course, the package also includes fender badges, an engine badge, and a certificate of authenticity to prove that you’re driving something a bit more special than most.

Four Figures

Just how much more special, you ask? Well, this particular C7 Z06 was put on the dyno and it responded quite well to this laundry list of upgrades, laying down 905 horsepower and 813 pound-feet of torque at the wheels, which puts it well north of 1,000 hp at the crank.

Mystery Price

As far as pricing goes, well, Lingenfelter doesn’t list one for this particular upgrade, though we imagine it isn’t cheap thanks to the required engine removal. The tuner’s 800 horsepower package for the C7 Z06 costs $20,495, so it’s obviously at least a bit more than that, and perhaps considerably more.
