Another day, another LRT breakdown along the Kelana Jaya (KJ) Line. This morning (2-September-2022) public train commuters were left stranded in a train and were asked to walk the short distance to the train platform.
According to Rapid KL, a train heading towards Putra Heights experienced technical issues and came to a stop near the Universiti station. The affected train could be seen immobile not far from the station and commuters were forced to walk along the emergency trail.

Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reports that commuters heading for Putra Heights were asked to take alternate routes to their destinations.
Rapid KL then quickly started using the other platform to accommodate passengers heading towards Putra Heights. The platform will see trains going in both directions at different intervals while trains will move slower and stop for longer periods at stations.

The affected train was successfully taken out of service at 10.48 am, about an hour after it started experiencing technical issues.
