Triesenburg Auto Corporation, the official distributor of JAC Motors launches the new-generation 2023 S4 compact SUV.
The 2023 JAC S4 features an edgy parallel geometry design that helps it stand out from other compact SUVs. The inverted “7” split front lamp design is one of its defining characteristics, followed by its extensive black lower cladding and 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/50R17 tires. The same inverted “7” taillight graphic and sweeping tailgate, meanwhile, dominate the rear-end.
There are two variants for the Philippines: the S4 Ultimate and S4 Intelligent, and the exterior differences are fairly minor. The Intelligent is the one that benefits from LED headlights (standard are halogens) and a sunroof.
Inside, the S4 features leather/fabric combination seats as well as smart features such as a smart key with push-button start/stop, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Of course, it doesn’t scrimp on practicality, and for that, the cargo space grows up to an impressive 1,050 liters with the rear seats down. Loading and unloading of cargo is made easy with its power tailgate.
Safety features standard on both S4 models include the full gamut of airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, electronic parking brake with auto hold, but the Intelligent goes further with blind spot detection, and lane departure warning.
The 2023 JAC S4 is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter motor making 147 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 210 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,500 rpm. This is mated to a CVT gearbox driving the front wheels. This gives it a top speed of 170 km/h and a maximum gradeability of 30 percent.
As mentioned, the 2023 S4 two variants: the S4 Ultimate and the S4 Intelligent. The Ultimate is actually the entry-level model and is priced at P 1.088 million, while the top-of-the-line Intelligent goes for P 1.178 million.
