The iVOOMi S1 electric scooter will have a claimed range of 100 km

Electric scooter brand iVOOMi Energy has announced test rides of its new electric scooter, the S1 from May 28, 2022. According to the company, test rides of the new iVOOMi S1 electric scooters will be organised at dealerships in several cities, including Pune, Nagpur, Gondia, Mumbai, Nanded, Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji, Ahmednagar, Surat, Bhavnagar, Adipur and Kachh, followed by other dealerships of the brand across the country by June 5, 2022. According to the company, the test rides for the S1 electric scooter can be reserved on the company’s website, and customers can also pre-book it after the test ride for an amount of ₹ 749.

According to iVOOMi Electric, the S1 electric scooter has been designed and manufactured in India, and is powered by a 2 kW electric motor that offers a top speed of 50-54 kmph. The electric scooter gets a 60 V, 2 kWh swappable lithium-ion battery pack, and offers a riding range of 100 km on a full charge and can be fully charged in 3-4 hours. iVOOMi offers battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model and the S1 is priced at ₹ 84,999.

“We are delighted to start with the test ride of our newly launched S1 electric scooter and give potential customers hands-on experience with our product. We are confident that the S1 will be a game-changer in the electric scooter segment and we see this as an opportunity to demonstrate the performance of our solid-state electric motor, which offers a great driving experience and efficiency,” said Sunil Bansal, Managing Director and Co-founder, iVOOMi Energy.
