Motorcycle and scooter manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Thursday informed the stock exchanges that it will be hiking the prices of its motorcycles and scooters with effect from January 4, 2022.The company cited steadily rising commodity prices as a reason for its decision to hike the prices of its vehicle. “The price revision has been necessitated to partially offset the impact of steadily increasing commodity prices. The price revision will be up to Rs. 2,000 and the exact quantum of increase will depend on the model and the market,” the statement read.
The stock closed Thursday’s session with gains of nearly 1.87% while Nifty & Sensex each gained 0.7%.
