Ford reopens U.S. order banks for the ’23 Mustang Mach-E as the automaker continues to increase production of the battery-electric midsize CUV.

New orders placed as of Aug. 30 will carry higher prices reflecting what Ford says are “significant material cost increases, continued strain on key supply chains and rapidly evolving market conditions.”

Prices start at $46,895 for the Select Rear-Wheel-Drive Standard Range model; $49,595 for the Select e-All-Wheel-Drive Standard Range model; $54,975 for the Premium RWD Standard Range model; $57,675 for the Premium eAWD Standard Range model; and $69,895 for the GT Extended Range model. Prices do not include destination charges.

The extended-range battery is $8,600 more than the standard battery. Starting with models launching in the fall, Premium AWD models with the extended-range battery will have an EPA-estimated range of 290 miles (467 km), up 13 miles (21 km) from last model year, Ford says.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Driver Assist Technology is now standard across the Mustang Mach-E lineup. On Select models, Ford BlueCruise hands-free driving and 360-degree camera are available for a complimentary 90-day trial period for customers to experience the technology before choosing to enable it for a longer period.

The new Mustang Nite Pony Package is available on Premium models with the extended-range battery for an additional $800. The package features high-gloss, black 19-in. wheels and a black pony badge, black front and rear lower fascia, door cladding and black mirror caps on the grille. Customers can pair any Mustang Mach-E exterior color with the Nite Pony Package.

Customers can choose two new colors from the eight available on Mustang Mach-E, Carbonized Gray Metallic and Vapor Blue Metallic. These replace Dark Matter Gray Metallic and Iced Blue Silver Metallic.

Ford sold 17,675 units of the Mustang Mach-E in first-half 2022, up 36.0% from 12,975 a year earlier, according to Wards Intelligence data. Deliveries in the second quarter alone rose 72.0% to 10,941 from 6,361 year-ago.

Ford’s U.S. electric vehicle sales were up 168.7% in July with Mustang Mach-E up 74.1%, making it the second best-selling electric CUV in America, Ford says.
