It’s going to be a long wait for those wanting a Ford Everest Sport V6, but for Trend and Ambient variants, there is no waiting period
Ford has announced its September supply updates for both its Ranger and Everest models.
As predicted, the V6 engine is proving very popular among Ford enthusiasts, with the wait time for an Everest Sport V6 now blowing out to nine months or longer.

The top-of-the-range Ford Everest Platinum with V6 power also has an estimated wait time of around nine months, arriving at the earliest in May 2023.
But it’s not all bad news. The four-cylinder-powered Ambiente and Trend models in the Everest family have no current wait time, meaning that if you order one of these variants today through a Ford dealership, you should be able to take delivery within weeks, rather than months.
Ford says it is always worth contacting your local Ford dealership for more information regarding wait times.

Is there a benefit to going for the four-cylinder Everest?
If you have your mind set on a V6-powered Ford Everest, you’ll be waiting more than half a year for it to arrive.
While you will miss out on the fancy interior of the Platinum or the power and thrust of the Sport V6, the Ambiente and Trend are both available with four-wheel-drive and a torquey 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel four-cylinder making 154kW/500Nm.
That’s only 30kW/100Nm down from the 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6’s outputs, and still has the same 10-speed automatic transmission. Both options also feature a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
The V6 might be popular but the four-pot is still a capable unit
The Trend has 18-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.0-inch portrait-style screen running wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Leather accented seats are also standard.
If you want an Everest as soon as possible, your pick would be the four-cylinder Trend.
