While the design and manufacturing are done by Aston Martin, the British marque has sourced a variety of tried and tested items from Mercedes-AMG such as the powertrain. This mixture results in a competent and refined SUV that can definitely be considered a good car.
Who is the Aston Martin DBX a good car for?
The Aston Martin DBX is a good car for individuals that enjoy the unique styling and luxury appointments offered by the British automaker, however, want a vehicle that stands taller and is more practical for regular use.
Is the Aston Martin DBX a good first car?
The biggest hurdle for first-time car buyers when considering the DBX will most certainly be the price point. In terms of driving and standard driver assist systems, the model should prove easy to operate. We, however, will recommend an advanced driving course to first-time performance car owners to fully comprehend how to utilise the performance and how to remain safe while on spirited drives.

What’s it like to drive?
Reviewer’s opinion
I have spent some time now, did some urban driving, experienced it in traffic, explored the various driving modes and now am taking it out on some fast-flowing sections of tarmac. Things that have stood out so far are the body control and the lack of body roll, considering this is an SUV. I can’t believe how planted it feels going through a fast sweep, it feels a lot flatter than most SUVs you will drive.

Interior

What is the Aston Martin DBX like inside?
The cabin of the DBX is finished in luxurious leather on almost every surface. Contrast stitching and perforations can be found in a variety of areas and as can be expected from a premium marque such as Aston Martin, customers can specify a variety of interior styles and colours. In its most comfortable setting the DBX glides over the road and very little road noise can be heard inside, however, once in its sportiest setting the suspension firms up and the engine tone can be admired by all the occupants and throttle.
Style
The DBX is much larger and more imposing in the metal than it is in pictures, however, with the sloping roof and doors almost reaching shoulder height, the SUV still retain a very sporty look. Upfront, you can expect the signature Aston Martin grille while at the rear the British automaker has styled the model to resemble its Vantage model. Overall the DBX in either the base specification or in DBX707 guise is both elegant and yet sporty in design.
