Bringing new style to the company’s scrambler line.
No matter what sort of scrambler you’re looking for, you can probably find something that’ll fit the bill in Ducati’s lineup these days. As of today, the company offers no fewer than 13 different motorcycles under the Ducati Scrambler nameplate, ranging far and wide in power and price. The newest models, the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro, may not be the most revolutionary additions to the line — but they sure are sexy.
Both versions, as the name suggests, use the brand’s 1,100-cc engine making 86 horsepower and 65 pound-feet of torque, and both come with features like the company’s Ducati Traction Control and ABS Cornering control. The Scrambler 1100 Pro’s upgrades largely consist of cosmetic tweaks, including a two-tone livery and a metal X insignia in the headlight, inspired by Wolverine’s motorcycle in the first X-Men movie the black tape often affixed to bike lamps in the ’70s for protective purposes. The Pro scores a side-mounted tailpipe and a low-mounted rear license plate mount, as well.
The Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro builds on that with a matte black paint job featuring side panels boasting an “1100” logo, as well as a handful of mechanical upgrades: low-slung handlebars, a café racer-style rear-view mirror and an Öhlins suspension.
The two new Ducatis go on sale in March, according to the company. The Scrambler 1100 Pro starts at $13,495, while the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro costs $15,495.
