London-based Hedon is teaming up with BMW Motorrad for a line of new lids inspired by the classic colors of Beemers past and present.

Depending on how your taste in motorcycles goes, you may or may not have ever paid attention to Hedon. The London-based helmet manufacturer specializes in classically-styled open- and closed-faced lids, offering up vintage-looking pieces with names like “Epicurist,” “Hedonist” and “Heroine Racer.” (They also make bicycle helmets with a similar aesthetic, should you be interested.) Don’t let appearances fool you, though: Hedon’s helmets are made with 21st Century-appropriate materials and features, such a fiberglass/carbon fiber shell, anti-bacterial fabric and multi-channel ventilation to go with their natural calf leather and brass hardware.
The brand’s blend of old-school style and new-school safety was apparently enough to capture the attention of BMW Motorrad — because on Tuesday, Hedon announced that BMW’s motorcycle division signed a deal with them to supply Beemer with an exclusive line of open-face helmets inspired by the Bavarian brand’s colors and liveries.
“We are thrilled to be working with BMW and are honored to be selected as BMW’s preferred premium helmet partner,” Hedon co-founder and creative director Lindsay Chong said in a statement.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the brand’s other open-face helmets retail for roughly $385–$435, based on current exchange rates. For now, if you want one of these lids, you’ll have to venture over to Europe, where they’re available in BMW dealers. But considering how sexy these helmets are, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them coming Stateside sooner or later. (Preferably sooner.)
