Ather Energy opens the brand’s biggest showroom in Coimbatore. The Ather Space in Coimbatore is the brand’s third experience centre in Tamilnadu after Chennai and Trichy, and the southern state is also home to the brand’s state-of-the-art production facility.
Ather Energy made the announcement via a social media post regarding the opening of its biggest ever retail showroom located in Coimbatore.
The post said, “Coimbatore just opened its doors to the biggest Ather Space till date at Patel Road, Ramnagar! Now you can cruise through the city on your favourite EV! Drop by, and take a test ride now”.
Apart from this, the manufacturing plant of Ather Energy is located in Hosur and is supported by the state’s EV policy.
Ather Energy has been steadily growing in the auto industry, and this year, the brand has already expanded to multiple cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Tiruchy, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Indore, and Nashik.
Design-wise, the first word that springs into your mind after looking at the Ather electric scooter is “sophisticated”. The whole package just feels so modern and futuristic with sharp and clean lines.
The sharp and tall front-end neatly integrates the LED headlamps and gives the Ather electric scooter an agile stance.
Moving on to the sides, the lack of exhaust and slightly exposed aluminium frame gives the Ather electric scooter premium and sophisticated look that is unmatched by any other conventionally powered scooter in India.
This sense of premium and sophistication is carried over to the rear as well with a simple yet neatly designed LED tail lamp that extends onto the sides to the LED turn indicators.
Ather Energy currently sells two models; Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X. The Ather 450 Plus is powered by a 5.4kW electric motor with 22Nm of torque, and powering the electric motor is a 2.4kWh Lithium-ion battery pack.
According to Ather Energy, the Ather 450 Plus is good to do 70 kms on a single charge and takes 10 minutes to add 10 kms of range while using a suitable fast charger.
On the other hand, the Ather 450X uses a 6kW electric motor with 26Nm of torque and comes with a larger 2.9kWh Lithium-ion battery pack.
This makes the Ather 450X do 80 kms on a fully charged battery pack and the charging times has also been reduced significantly as the Ather 450X takes just 10 minutes to add 15 kms of range.
Apart from this, both the scooters come with a water-resistant 7-inch touchscreen instrument that uses an Andriod-based OS, 22-litres of under-seat storage, telescopic front suspension, 12-inch wheels, Google maps and many more.
Pricing for the Ather 450 Plus in Coimbatore is Rs 1,27,916 (Including FAME II subsidy), whereas the Ather 450X costs Rs 1,46,926 (Including FAME II subsidy).

As the biggest Ather Space open in Coimbatore, it is clear that the brand is looking to expand its network tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India.
This move will enable Ather Energy to further expand its brand into developing cities and increase the overall sales.
