Mustang – a nameplate seated high up within the automotive hierarchy and steeped in decades of automotive prestige. Brought into the world by Henry Ford II in 1964, the Mustang has become synonymous with the idea of power and style. Fifty-eight years later, the world will receive the 7th generation Mustang at this year’s Detroit Auto Show.

We recently had the new Mustang GT California Special — which you can find in CAR Magazine’s 2022 October issue — which was a great reminder of what modern American muscle feels like and will hopefully remain here. The era of muscle cars is changing drastically and, with Dodge unveiling what is most likely the most impressive electric car to date, the pressure to electrify the mustang fleet will grow. In an age of increasing electrification, the next part of the Mustang’s life will certainly be one of note.
