BMW Motorrad had launched their most affordable motorcycle G 310 R and G 310 GS in the Indian market a few year ago. Now, every manufacturer is updating their range to meet the new BS6 emission norms and BMW also did the same. They have been testing the BS6 versions of G 310 GS and G 310 R and has been spotted under camouflage few times. Here we have a video where the upcoming BS6 version of the G 310 GS adventure tourer motorcycle that is being tested without any camouflage on our roads.
The video has been uploaded by Abhinav Bhatt on his youtube channel. The video shows couple of G 310 GS and one G 310 R motorcycle being tested without any camouflage at all. The BS6 version of the motorcycles will be getting couple of updates apart from a BS6 compliant engine. Starting with the headlamps, they have been slightly tweaked and will get an LED DRL in it. The headlamp itself is an LED unit along with LED turn indicators.
It also looks like BMW has slightly revised the design of front beak to give it a more aggressive stance. Apart from that no major changes can be seen on the motorcycle. The matte black body looks pretty good and it is not known if this is a colour just foe the test mules or will they be launching a matte black version of the adventure tourer motorcycle.

In the same video, we can also spot the G 310 R naked street motorcycle. It also gets an updated headlamp set up like the adventure version. The main reason why BMW’s entry level models did not became a huge success in the Indian market is mainly because of the price. Even though BMW had joined hands with TVS and manufactured it in India, the price for both the motorcycles were too high in comparison to the competition.
Currently G310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles are priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. According to reports, BMW is expected to reduce the price of both motorcycle with BS6 versions. Both motorcycles will be powered by a BS6 compliant 312-cc, single cylinder, fuel injected, liquid cooled engine that generates 34 Ps and 28 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. BMW Motorrad will soon be launching the updated versions of both motorcycles in the market soon.
